Work on commission: portrait made from photo He is not only a painter, he is a man with a remarkable destiny.
After travelling around France with 14 postings, he settled in Sologne with his family about thirty years ago.
It was in 1993, during his retirement, that a stroke of fate turned his life upside down: victim of a hemiplegic attack, he found in painting a real therapy. Encouraged by his wife Annie, he switched from pencils to brushes, and his immersion in art helped him to distance himself from the disease.
Jean Lesauvage particularly excelled in portraiture, but he did not forget still life, sumptuous bouquets of flowers and landscapes. His love for art and beautiful things shines through in each of his works. As a technician, sculptor and cabinetmaker, he was trained at the Boule de Paris school, a prestigious reference in the field of applied arts.
This painting is not just an artistic work, it tells a human story. That of a man who knew how to transcend illness to express his passion through art. This unique piece, the result of a work to order, testifies to the precision and talent of Jean Lesauvage.
