Homefront is a first-person shooter released in 2011. The game takes place in the near future, in 2027, in an America occupied by a foreign military force called Great North Korea (or GKN).

The player embodies a member of the American resistance who fights against the occupation forces. The story follows the main character as he leads missions for the resistance, such as sabotage, infiltration, and attacks on enemy convoys. 

The player can use various weapons, including pistols, assault rifles, rocket launchers, and explosives.

The game also features a multiplayer mode in which players can compete online in deathmatches and other game modes. The multiplayer mode includes a progression system that allows players to unlock new weapons and skills by gaining experience.
