TINTIN Poster Album - An original collector's edition from 1986 - TheRedshop
The history of this album dates back to the 1930s, when Hergé produced 32 unpublished watercolors for the Belgian newspaper The Little Twentieth. These color out-of-texts, published between 1932 and 1940, accompany the pre-publication of the first adventures of Tintin. Forgotten for decades, these watercolors were rediscovered in 1986. Casterman then decided to publish 21 of these works in the form of a large-format album, containing detachable posters.
Legal deposit in September 1986 and printing in August 1986.
21 posters out of the 32 original watercolors, respecting the original format imagined by Hergé.
Generous dimensions of 40 x 30 cm, perfect for framing posters.
The album is in excellent condition, with fresh and well-preserved pages, despite its vintage character.
These posters have never been reissued in any other form, making this album a truly exceptional piece.
Rediscover rare unpublished illustrations, witnesses of Hergé's imagination and talent.
The watercolors reflect an inimitable era and graphic style.
Not reissued, this 1986 collector's item remains a precious piece for comic book and graphic art lovers.
