Characteristics:

Material: Brass
Diameter: approx. 23 mm
Year: 1937
Transmitter: PTT (Posts, Telegraphs and Telephones)

Historically, these tokens preceded coins in French phone booths. They were used as early as the 1920s, but issued by the PTT in 1937.

With the advent of phone cards in the 1980s, tokens gradually disappeared.

Today, they arouse the interest of collectors because of their historical value. Please note that the state of conservation varies, some show signs of wear or rust due to their age.
